Plan Your Wedding in Crimson Ridge
Our gates are expected to open in Fall 2027. This planning preview lets you explore the projected cost of bringing Crimson Ridge to your wedding or anniversary before reservations officially open.
Planning Ahead
Crimson Ridge gatherings require a minimum of four months’ advance booking, subject to date availability.
For weddings, highly customized gatherings or plans involving several custom-made pieces or professional partners, we strongly recommend beginning six months or more in advance.
Some specialized experiences may require additional lead time. If they do, we will let you know while your gathering is being planned.
More time gives us room not only to create the details properly, but to make sure the people, makers and services involved in your day are firmly in place well before Crimson Ridge arrives.
Choose the season and time you would like to spend in town, then build the rest of your gathering around it.
Bringing Crimson Ridge to You
Crimson Ridge is based in the Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes area and travels to suitable venues and properties throughout Ontario. Travel costs vary by location and transportation requirements and will always be outlined clearly in your proposal before booking.
Harvest Festival
Golden leaves, Harvest traditions, Town Square gatherings, live music, fireside evenings and the full everyday life of Crimson Ridge.
Available Fall 2027 dates will appear here as the opening calendar is finalized.
Frontier Fright — October
For October gatherings, Harvest Festival takes on its after-dark side with trick-or-treating through town, costumes, pumpkins, haunted walks and a few stranger stories once the lanterns come on.
October 2027 dates will be identified as Harvest Festival or Frontier Fright when the opening calendar is released.
Step 1 — Choose Your Time in Town
8 Hours — $12,995 + HST
12 Hours — $13,995 + HST
Overnight — $16,495 + HST
Each begins with the complete Crimson Ridge experience, including the town, Town Square, on-site town crew, approximately four hours of live music from the Crimson Ridge Trio, seasonal activities and traditions, setup, operation, cleanup and pack-down.
The Festival Is Always There
Whatever you are celebrating, Crimson Ridge remains a living seasonal town around it. During Fall 2027, Harvest Festival continues throughout the gathering — its food, traditions, games, townspeople, music and everyday town life are still happening regardless of which activities, planning style or Special Arrangements you choose.
Guest Pioneer Passes, Pioneer Feast selections, Special Arrangements, applicable travel and partner-provided experiences are added separately.
Step 2 — Your Guests
Every guest attending Crimson Ridge receives a Pioneer Pass — $49 + HST per person.
The Pioneer Pass is their key to the town and includes the pieces that let them take part in everyday Crimson Ridge life — their Wonder Passport, town map and records, included keepsakes, town spending money, drinks, bakery and Mercantile access, games, activities and seasonal traditions throughout the gathering.
Groups of fewer than 50 guests are welcome. The base experience price remains the same because the complete town, crew and operating systems still travel with us.
Every Pioneer Pass Includes
Every guest who enters Crimson Ridge receives their own Pioneer Pass — a collection of experiences, keepsakes and pieces of town gathered throughout their time with us.
✓ Unlimited fountain sodas throughout your time in town
✓ Access to Abigail's Candy Shop & Mercantile and the town bakery
✓ A keepsake from every Crimson Ridge building — collected as you make your way through town
✓ Wonder Passport — stamped during your visit and carrying benefits into future Crimson Ridge visits and worlds from The Wonder Workshop
✓ Tin Pioneer Pass — carried through town and die-punched as you visit each building
✓ Crimson Ridge leather coaster
✓ Sheriff's Log & map of town
✓ Visitor of Crimson Ridge Certificate — personalized with the date and gathering and officially stamped by town
✓ Bounty cards, order slips and town papers collected throughout your visit
✓ All town games and activities — including instructions, materials and everything needed to participate
✓ Seasonal traditions — with any little creations or keepsakes you make along the way yours to take home
✓ Mystery and game materials for guests who choose to take part in the larger stories unfolding through town
✓ Participation pins — a quiet way to let our townsfolk know whether you'd like to join interactive play, appear in town photographs, both, or simply explore at your own pace
✓ Age identification for events serving alcohol, helping our townsfolk easily distinguish guests of legal drinking age
✓ Float tokens for younger pioneers to use at the Velvet Boot Saloon
By the time you leave Crimson Ridge, your Pioneer Pass has become a little collection of the town — punched, stamped, written on, played with and gathered one building at a time.
Step 3 — Stay for a Pioneer Feast
Meals are optional and can be added according to the length and shape of your celebration.
Frontier Breakfast — $25 + HST per guest
Midday Feast — $25 + HST per guest
Harvest Supper — $25 + HST per guest
Overnight Breakfast — $25 + HST per guest
Menus change with the season and are built around warm, filling, familiar food served as part of life in town.
Late-Night Provisions — $25 + HST per guest
For longer gatherings that carry well into the evening, an optional late-night service can be added after supper.
Our current Harvest menu is being built around mini funnel cakes, crisp stuffed potato cakes with savoury seasonal fillings, and a chilled lemon cream served in hollowed lemon halves for something lighter and refreshing, or a coffee mousse if you prefer a little caffiene at the end of the night.
Final selections and pricing will be published with the complete Fall 2027 menu.
Step 4 — Make It Yours
Once you have chosen your time in town, guest count and meals, the rest is about making Crimson Ridge feel unmistakably like your wedding.
Some choices are simply part of having your celebration here. Others involve a piece made especially for you or a professional partner brought in for the day.
How Much Do You Want Us to Shape?
Fully Structured
Give us the important pieces and let Crimson Ridge build the day around you.
Semi-Structured
We build it together, working your own plans into the rhythm of town.
Fully Customizable
Bring us the strange, sentimental, wonderful ideas. We will see how naturally we can make them belong here.
How Should the Town Feel?
Easygoing
Guests wander, eat, visit, play and explore at their own pace.
A Little Competitive
We work more games, challenges, town coins and friendly rivalry into the day.
Town Wars
For crowds who would very much enjoy spending the wedding acquiring property, stealing claims, landing one another in Boone’s jail and behaving generally untrustworthy.
Larger town games such as The Town List, Eli’s Foreman Challenge and Claim to Crimson Ridge can be worked into the gathering when they suit your crowd.
Included Wedding Choices - No Extra Cost
These pieces can be worked into your wedding at no additional charge.
Stargazer
The woodland Stargazer can become part of your day for the ceremony, first look, entrance, vows, photographs or simply one quiet moment together.
Traditions can include:
The First Look at Stargazer
The Walk to Stargazer
The Crimson Ridge Wedding Proclamation
The Stargazer Star Map, marking the sky above Crimson Ridge at the moment you say “I do”
The Stained-Glass Pairing, with one piece remaining at Stargazer and its matching piece going home with you
You are also welcome to personalize Stargazer with your own flowers, photographs, keepsakes or meaningful ceremony details.
Music & Town Square
The Crimson Ridge Trio spends approximately four hours in town, and you decide where those hours belong.
They might play through an afternoon gathering, cocktail time, supper and dancing, or split their time across several parts of the day.
Town Square can also include:
Your first dance
An easy four-wall line dance lesson for your guests
Our speakers and sound equipment for music and speeches
Your choice of familiar Saloon pub mugs or more formal wedding glassware
The long Harvest Table for the couple, wedding party and immediate family, surrounded by smaller tables
Or an entirely bistro-style Town Square if you prefer smaller tables throughout
Music, dancing, firelight and evening gatherings as the lanterns come on
The Wedding Pie Auction
The Harvest Pie Social can take on a wedding tradition of its own.
Before supper, tables pool the town coins they have earned throughout the day, wooden bidding paddles come out, and the newlyweds take over the auction.
The spoils become part of the evening dessert table.
The Wedding Lounge
After the ceremony, we can quietly disappear the two of you for a little while.
A large canvas lounge becomes your own private corner of town, with something to drink and a bite to eat while everybody else carries on without requiring either of you to pose, greet, organize or make another decision.
Later, small groups of family and friends can be sent in to visit you a few at a time.
You actually get to spend part of your wedding together.
We know. Radical.
Josephine’s Post Office
Guests can sit at Josephine’s writing counter and leave you letters, advice, memories or wishes for the years ahead.
They can choose herbs and flowers for the meanings they carry and add them to their letters before leaving everything safely with Josephine.
The letters are yours regardless.
If you would like them transformed afterward into a finished leather heirloom, Josephine’s Wedding Letter Book is available below.
Wedding Gift Cabinet
Crimson Ridge brings a large lockable cubby-style gift cabinet for cards, envelopes and wedding gifts.
Once arrivals are complete, the cabinet is secured and its key belongs to you.
Send us your guest list beforehand and we can also prepare individual guest names for the cubbies.
A Memory Showing
Our screen and projector can be set up in Town Square for photographs, family memories, a surprise video or another piece of your story.
Use of our equipment is included.
Wedding Party & Parent Keepsake Gifts
The people standing closest to you deserve something considerably better than a generic favour with Bridesmaid printed on it.
We can create personalized gifts through The Wonder Workshop for your wedding party and parents, chosen to suit the individual.
Depending on the group, these might include custom phone cases, perfume, candles beard oils, antique-style pocket mirrors and other pieces made or finished especially for them.
These personalized thank-you gifts are included in the wedding experience.
If You Stay the Night
The Morning After
Before the rest of town wakes, we quietly collect the two of you and take you somewhere private.
If the property has a beautiful waterfront, garden or hidden corner, it becomes yours for the morning. Otherwise, we create one with a clear garden tent tucked into the landscape, filled with morning light.
Inside is breakfast for two.
And while you eat, a private memory showing begins with photographs and little moments captured around Crimson Ridge the day before — the pieces of your wedding you never got to see while you were busy living your own part of it.
Your families together.
Your guests laughing across town.
The Square after dark.
Something ridiculous happening when you were somewhere else entirely.
For a little while, it is just the two of you, breakfast, and the chance to see your wedding from the other side.
The Morning After is included with an Overnight wedding.
Special Arrangements
Some pieces are made specifically for one wedding or involve additional craftspeople, performers or professional partners. Those are priced separately.*
Luxury Restroom Trailer — Projected $1,800–$2,200 + HST
For weddings and other gatherings where the host property does not have suitable nearby washrooms, we can arrange a climate-controlled luxury restroom trailer with flushing toilets, running-water sinks, mirrors and finished interiors.
Final pricing depends on the event location, guest count, trailer size and supplier availability.
For more casual gatherings, standard portable washrooms can also be arranged at a lower cost where appropriate.
Personalized Velvet Boot Proprietors’ Sign — Custom Quote
For the day, Mae’s Saloon can carry a second handcrafted swinging sign created for the two of you.
Afterward, it goes home with you.
Josephine’s Wedding Letter Book — $295 + HST
After the wedding, your guests’ letters return to The Wonder Workshop.
Their flowers and herbs are properly pressed and preserved, the pages are finished, and everything is assembled into a personalized refillable leather keepsake book before being sent back to you.
Wedding Memory Quilt — Custom Quote
Guests leave messages on fabric pieces throughout the gathering, while the two of you can quietly write pieces to one another without seeing what the other has written.
Afterward, the collection is sent to a professional quilter for assembly and finishing.
Because the final cost depends on the number of pieces, finished quilt size and chosen details, each quilt is quoted individually.
Custom Wedding Branding Iron — Custom Quote
A branding iron made specifically for your wedding using initials, a simple mark or another approved design.
It can become part of your time in Crimson Ridge before going home with you afterward.
Each one is quoted according to the chosen design and size through the maker producing it. *Courtesy of Legacy Branding Tools
Personalized Town Archives Guest Collection — $25 + HST per guest
Instead of choosing from the everyday Town Archives collection, we can create a wedding edition specifically for your guests.
Eligible pieces may include candles, jams and preserves, campfire mugs and other seasonal goods.
Make them yours.
Add your names, wedding date or a phrase of your own. Rename pieces after yourselves, places you love or an inside joke nobody else understands.
For scented pieces, tell us the scents you love and we can develop the collection around them, with the final scent direction approved by you before production.
Double-Stocked Harper’s Bakery and Candy Shop— $15 + HST per guest
Especially useful for 12-hour and Overnight gatherings, this adds a second level of bakery stock so Harper’s can remain generously supplied as guests return throughout the day and evening.
It is not a second dessert service.
It is simply more Abigail.
A Matter of Town Honor — Custom Quote
Four familiar faces from a long-standing rival town happen to arrive in Crimson Ridge on the very same day as your gathering.
They are loud about where they come from, unimpressed with Boone, far too comfortable irritating Mae and quite certain their town could beat Crimson Ridge at practically anything.
Your guests may feel differently.
The rival visit can be added for weddings that want a larger interactive town challenge. Pricing is based on the additional rival-town cast and their time at the gathering.
Photography — Partner Option
We are currently vetting a small group of local photographers whose style, approach and location make sense for Crimson Ridge weddings rather than tying every couple to one distant supplier.
Partner photography packages and pricing will be added as those relationships are finalized.
You are also completely welcome to bring your own photographer, and we will help them understand the town, its best locations and the timing of any Crimson Ridge traditions you want captured.
Horse-Drawn Arrivals & Wagon Experiences — Partner Option
Horse-drawn arrivals, a black wedding carriage, wagon experiences and other equestrian additions are being developed through qualified professional horse partners.
Partners are being selected with location, travel, venue suitability and animal welfare in mind so the right provider can be matched to the gathering rather than hauling horses unnecessary distances.
Availability and pricing will be added according to location as those partnerships are established.
Bring Your Own People, Too
Crimson Ridge does not require you to give up the wedding professionals or ideas you already love.
Bring your photographer, videographer, florist, officiant, DJ, planner, decorator or other wedding professionals.
If you want additional flowers around Stargazer, more décor through Town Square, your own music later in the evening or something we have never thought of, tell us.
We will work alongside the people you have chosen so what they bring feels like it belongs naturally within the town.
If Crimson Ridge has a partner option available for something you need, you can choose ours instead.
This is your wedding. We bring the town.
Step 5 — Tell Us Everything
We do not want you to squeeze your wedding into a package.
Tell us what you are imagining — even the pieces that are unfinished, unusual, sentimental or difficult to explain.
Send us your photos, Pinterest boards, screenshots, colour ideas, favourite places, family traditions, wild ideas and the little details you keep coming back to. Tell us what you absolutely want, what you definitely do not want, and what you have not quite figured out yet.
We also want to know about the people coming with you.
Tell us about grandparents who may need a quieter place to sit, children who will need room to wander, guests with mobility or accessibility needs, sensory considerations, dietary needs, important family members, surprise guests, people you want honoured, and anyone we should quietly keep an extra eye on.
Tell us which moments matter most.
The ceremony. The food. The music. The photographs. The ridiculous family tradition. The person who cannot dance but absolutely will after two hours in the Saloon. The photograph of your grandparents you want tucked somewhere near Stargazer.
Give us the whole picture.
We will use it to shape Crimson Ridge around the people actually coming through the gates — not around a generic idea of what a wedding is supposed to look like.
Comfort in Crimson Ridge
The town is planned for real people spending a long day outdoors. Guest comfort can include accessible building entrances, a variety of seating, canvas lounge spaces, seat warmers, blankets, hats and mittens in colder weather, heated spaces where appropriate, coat and bag storage, and clear lantern-lit weather covers for Town Square when rain or snow changes the plan.
If someone in your group has mobility, sensory, medical, temperature or other comfort needs, tell us ahead of time. We would rather plan around them from the beginning than ask them to work around the town.
When You’re Ready
Your planning inquiry can include:
Your names · preferred date or season · estimated guest count · 8-hour, 12-hour or Overnight experience · Feast choices · wedding traditions · Special Arrangements · accessibility or guest considerations · your own vendors · inspiration photos or links · and anything else you want us to know.
You do not need to have every answer before you contact us.
Sometimes the best place to begin is simply:
“Here’s what we’re dreaming about.”
Down the Road
*The Crimson Ridge Stampede *— In Development
There are days when Crimson Ridge is considerably louder.
The Crimson Ridge Stampede is being developed as a larger premium gathering built around horses, frontier competition, rival-town trouble and the full Crimson Ridge experience.
Professional horse and wagon elements will be provided through qualified partners, and the Stampede will receive its own experience details and pricing once those arrangements are established.
Not currently available to book — but very much on its way.
