Plan Your Private Gathering in Crimson Ridge
Our gates are expected to open in Fall 2027. This planning preview lets you explore the projected cost of a birthday, reunion, milestone or private gathering before reservations officially open.
Choose the season and time you would like to spend in town, then shape the rest around your people.
Fall 2027
Planning Ahead
Crimson Ridge gatherings require a minimum of four months’ advance booking, subject to date availability.
For weddings, highly customized gatherings or plans involving several custom-made pieces or professional partners, we strongly recommend beginning six months or more in advance.
Some specialized experiences may require additional lead time. If they do, we will let you know while your gathering is being planned.
More time gives us room not only to create the details properly, but to make sure the people, makers and services involved in your day are firmly in place well before Crimson Ridge arrives.
Bringing Crimson Ridge to You
Crimson Ridge is based in the Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes area and travels to suitable venues and properties throughout Ontario. Travel costs vary by location and transportation requirements and will always be outlined clearly in your proposal before booking.
Harvest Festival
Golden leaves, Harvest traditions, Town Square gatherings, live music, games, keepsakes, fireside evenings and the complete everyday life of Crimson Ridge.
Frontier Fright — October
For October gatherings, Harvest Festival can take on its after-dark side with trick-or-treating through town, costumes, pumpkins, haunted walks and stranger stories once the lanterns come on.
Step 1 — Choose Your Time in Town
8 Hours — $12,995 + HST
12 Hours — $13,995 + HST
Overnight — $16,495 + HST
Every gathering includes the complete Crimson Ridge town, Town Square, townspeople and crew, seasonal activities and traditions, setup, operation, cleanup and pack-down.
The Crimson Ridge Trio is included for approximately four hours, with the timing shaped around your gathering. Town Square speakers and sound equipment are available where needed.
Step 2 — Your Guests
Every guest receives a Pioneer Pass — $49 + HST per person.
The Pioneer Pass includes the pieces that let them take part in everyday town life — their Wonder Passport, town map and records, town spending money, drinks, bakery and Mercantile access, games, activities, seasonal traditions and the keepsakes collected throughout the day.
Groups of fewer than 50 guests are welcome. The base experience price remains the same because the full town, crew and operating systems still travel with us.
Every Pioneer Pass Includes
Every guest who enters Crimson Ridge receives their own Pioneer Pass — a collection of experiences, keepsakes and pieces of town gathered throughout their time with us.
✓ Unlimited fountain sodas throughout your time in town
✓ Access to Abigail's Candy Shop & Mercantile and the town bakery
✓ A keepsake from every Crimson Ridge building — collected as you make your way through town
✓ Wonder Passport — stamped during your visit and carrying benefits into future Crimson Ridge visits and worlds from The Wonder Workshop
✓ Tin Pioneer Pass — carried through town and die-punched as you visit each building
✓ Crimson Ridge leather coaster
✓ Sheriff's Log & map of town
✓ Visitor of Crimson Ridge Certificate — personalized with the date and gathering and officially stamped by town
✓ Bounty cards, order slips and town papers collected throughout your visit
✓ All town games and activities — including instructions, materials and everything needed to participate
✓ Seasonal traditions — with any little creations or keepsakes you make along the way yours to take home
✓ Mystery and game materials for guests who choose to take part in the larger stories unfolding through town
✓ Participation pins — a quiet way to let our townsfolk know whether you'd like to join interactive play, appear in town photographs, both, or simply explore at your own pace
✓ Age identification for events serving alcohol, helping our townsfolk easily distinguish guests of legal drinking age
✓ Float tokens for younger pioneers to use at the Velvet Boot Saloon
By the time you leave Crimson Ridge, your Pioneer Pass has become a little collection of the town — punched, stamped, written on, played with and gathered one building at a time.
Stay for a Pioneer Feast
Meals can be added according to the length of your gathering.
Frontier Breakfast — $25 + HST per guest
Midday Feast — $25 + HST per guest
Harvest Supper — $25 + HST per guest
Overnight Breakfast — $25 + HST per guest
Late-Night Provisions — $25 + HST per guest
For longer gatherings that carry well into the evening, an optional late-night service can be added after supper.
Our current Harvest menu is being built around mini funnel cakes, crisp stuffed potato cakes with savoury seasonal fillings, and a chilled lemon cream served in hollowed lemon halves for something lighter and refreshing or a coffee mousse if you’d like a little caffeine at the end of the night.
Menus change with the season and are built around warm, generous, familiar food served as part of life in town.
Step 3 — Shape the Day
Private gatherings can be as easygoing or as involved as your people want them to be.
Fully Structured
Give us the important pieces and let Crimson Ridge shape the day around them.
Semi-Structured
We build the town experience around your own plans, meals, surprises and family traditions.
Fully Customizable
Bring us the ideas, photographs, running jokes and things your family insists absolutely have to happen. We will see how naturally we can work them into town.
Easygoing
Explore, eat, visit, make things, play when you feel like it and spend the evening around the fire.
A Little Competitive
More challenges, town coins, team games and friendly rivalry are worked throughout the gathering.
Town Wars
For families and friend groups who have apparently been waiting years for a legally sanctioned opportunity to steal property from one another. 😂
The larger coordinated games — Claim to Crimson Ridge, Eli’s Foreman Challenge, The Town List and A Matter of Town Honour — can be worked into the gathering when they suit your group.
They are not the only games in Crimson Ridge. Bounty Hunter, town-coin challenges, contests, parlour games, seasonal competitions and smaller activities are already happening throughout the day.
Included Gathering Choices
These can be worked into your day at no additional charge.
Mae’s Celebration Cake
For birthdays, reunions and milestone gatherings, Mae will make a simple old-fashioned celebration cake for the group.
Choose from a small selection of classic flavours and tell us the name, occasion or little message you would like on top.
If your celebration calls for a highly decorated specialty cake, you are also welcome to bring one from your own baker.
Memory Showing
Use our screen and projector for family photographs, old home videos, a birthday surprise, memories of someone important or whatever belongs in your gathering.
Town Square Music & Dancing
Our Town Square sound equipment is available for speeches, playlists and other parts of the day, and we can teach the group an easy four-wall line dance if you would like one worked into the evening.
The Fireside Settle
Near the Town Fire sits a wide, high-backed two-person settle made for the people who deserve the best seat in town.
It might belong to the birthday guest, grandparents, the hosts, an anniversary couple — or simply whoever got there first and refuses to move.
With deep cushions and room to curl up beneath a blanket, it becomes one of the quieter places to watch the evening unfold.
A Place to Get Comfortable
A private gathering can also use one of our canvas lounge spaces as a shaded or quieter place away from the centre of Town Square.
It is especially useful for older guests, families with young children, anyone who needs a rest from the crowd, or simply somebody who would rather sit with a drink for twenty minutes before rejoining the trouble.
Comfort in Crimson Ridge
A good gathering only works if people can actually enjoy being there.
Crimson Ridge is designed with different ages, mobility needs and changing Ontario weather in mind.
Depending on the season and conditions, town comfort can include:
Accessible entrances into the town buildings
A mixture of chairs, benches, rockers and more supportive seating throughout town
Seat warmers available for guests who need a little extra warmth
Blankets and seasonal comfort items around the Town Fire
Hats, mittens and other cold-weather pieces available when the temperature drops
Proper heating in spaces where it is required and safe to provide
Canvas lounge spaces for shade, quieter seating or rest
Clear, lantern-lit weather covers for Town Square when rain or snow changes the plan
Coat and bag storage
Plenty of places to sit without having to leave the experience
If someone in your group has a mobility, accessibility, sensory, medical or comfort consideration, tell us while we are planning.
We would much rather know beforehand and build the day around them than discover after the gates open that somebody’s grandmother has spent twenty minutes trying to pretend she isn’t freezing because she doesn’t want to complain.
Crimson Ridge is meant to be explored by the people you actually invited.
Step 4 — Special Arrangements
Some pieces are made especially for one gathering or involve additional makers, materials, performers or professional partners. Those can be added separately.
Josephine’s Family Letter Book — $295 + HST
For reunions, milestone birthdays and family gatherings, Josephine’s Post Office can become a place to leave something behind for one another.
Guests can write letters, memories, family stories, advice, hopes for the future or things they never seem to say when everybody is in the same room.
They can also choose flowers and herbs for the meanings they carry — good health, remembrance, strength, happiness, good fortune and other wishes they would like to give.
The pages are preserved and assembled into a personalized refillable leather book.
It might go home with the birthday guest, the family host, a grandparent or elder, or whoever your family decides should become its keeper.
Family Memory Quilt — Custom Quote
Guests leave messages, memories, names or little pieces of family history on fabric squares throughout the gathering.
Afterward, the collection is sent to a professional quilter to be assembled and finished into a proper family keepsake.
For a reunion it might be presented to the oldest family member, the host or another person chosen by the family. For a birthday or milestone celebration, it can be created specifically for the person being celebrated.
Final pricing depends on the number of pieces, finished size and details chosen.
Personalized Town Archives Collection — $25 + HST per guest
Create a take-home collection specifically for your gathering.
Eligible pieces may include candles, preserves, campfire mugs and other seasonal Town Archives goods, personalized with family names, reunion dates, birthday details, custom product names or little phrases that mean something to your group.
For scented pieces, tell us what you love and we can build the collection around those preferences before the final scent direction is approved.
Double-Stocked Harper’s Bakery and Candy Shop — $15 + HST per guest
Especially useful for 12-hour and Overnight gatherings, this adds another level of bakery stock so Harper’s can stay generously supplied while guests wander back through town throughout the day and evening.
Because apparently one visit to Abigail’s bakery is an unrealistic expectation.
Custom Branding Iron — Custom Order
A family surname, initials, simple crest or other approved design can be turned into a custom branding iron for the gathering.
Use it on suitable keepsakes while you are in Crimson Ridge, then take the iron home afterward.
These are produced through our established branding maker and require advance artwork approval and production time.
A Matter of Town Honour — Custom Quote
Bring the full four-person rival-town cast into your gathering for a larger stretch of challenges, competition and general disrespect toward Crimson Ridge.
They know the townspeople, they have opinions about almost everything, and they are quite certain their town could beat yours.
Your family may take that personally.
Pricing reflects the additional rival-town cast and the amount of time they are part of the gathering.
Photography — Partner Option
We are selecting local photographers whose style and location make sense for Crimson Ridge gatherings.
Partner coverage can be added when available, or you are completely welcome to bring your own photographer and we will help them understand the town, its best locations and anything important you want captured.
Horse & Wagon Experiences — Partner Option
Horse-drawn wagon rides and other equestrian additions are being developed through qualified professional partners.
Availability and pricing will depend on the location, property and the appropriate provider for that gathering.
Something We Haven’t Listed?
Absolutely.
A custom family sign. Special take-home pieces. Personalized mugs. A family tradition we have never heard of. Something made for one particular person.
Tell us.
If it can be created safely, practically and in a way that still feels like it belongs in Crimson Ridge, we will see what we can do.
Step 5 — Tell Us About Your Gathering
You do not need to have every detail figured out before you contact us.
Tell us what you know. Tell us what you are still deciding. Tell us the thing your family has done at every reunion since 1978 and the ridiculous birthday surprise nobody is supposed to know about yet.
We want to know who is coming, not simply how many chairs we need.
Send us anything that helps us understand the gathering:
Your preferred date or season and approximate guest count
Whether you are considering 8 hours, 12 hours or Overnight
Birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, milestones or people being celebrated
Family traditions, stories, running jokes or meaningful details you would love worked into town
Photographs, inspiration pictures, Pinterest boards or screenshots
The kind of day you want — quiet and easygoing, a little competitive, or complete Town Wars
Pioneer Feast meals and Special Arrangements you are interested in
Children attending and anything that would make the day easier or more fun for them
Older guests who may need additional seating, warmth, shade, quieter space or a gentler pace
Mobility, accessibility, sensory, dietary or other needs we should plan around
Important guests, surprises or people you would especially like us to look after
Your own photographer, musicians, vendors or other professionals already involved
Anything else you are wondering about — even if you are not sure whether Crimson Ridge can do it
The earlier we understand your people and your plans, the easier it is to make the town fit around them.
You are never bothering us by asking questions.
If you are trying to work out whether Crimson Ridge fits your gathering, send us what you have and we will help you sort through it.
Planning Ahead
Crimson Ridge travels as a complete town, and gatherings involving custom pieces or outside partners need additional preparation time.
A minimum advance-booking window will apply once Fall 2027 reservations open, with longer lead times recommended for highly customized gatherings.
